ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Alfonso Watts is the youngest of five children and the only boy. With limited resources, the family became accustomed to making due with what they had. He attended public schools in the Dallas Independent School District for his entire twelve years of formal education, before leaving for Huntsville, TX, to attend Sam Houston State University. During his tenure at SHSU, Alfonso majored in Business Administration and minored in Theater. He was also a three year letterman on their track & field team and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. After graduation, Alfonso relocated to Houston, TX where he worked in mortgage banking and commercial real estate while continuing in the arts as a local commercial talent with Intermedia Modeling
Agency. Alfonso did some modeling, commercials, videos, and even a few feature films like, Jesse Owens story, Fifth Ward, and Thug Life. To continue his education, he attended Texas Southern University and earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning & Environmental Policy in the first graduating class of the Barbara Jordan/Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs. While in graduate school, he was able to do an internship with the City of Houston’s Planning and Development Department, where he published his first document entitled “How We Compare” in 2005. The current project has taken a few years to complete; however, the sequel will not take as long, but not before the next project is released. Thank you for reading supporting this project and if you enjoyed this genre, there are other stories to follow.
